ππΌ While Iβm trying to catch up on sleep, hereβs a little post for you π€
ππΌ Prom is suuuper expensive β from the dress all the way to decorations and DJs:
π Dress β anywhere from $100 to $700 (or even more!)
π Shoes β prices vary a lot. I didnβt even buy heels, I got a really good pair of comfy Michael Kors shoes for just $40 and Iβm sooo happy with them π
π π» Nails β $40β50, Pedicure β $50 (I skipped it since my shoes were closed)
ππΌββοΈ Hairstyle β $40β50 (even for simple curls!)
π Flowers (bouquets/corsages) β $20β50
π¨ Makeup β no idea, almost everyone does it themselves π
ππΌ Plus extras like:
π car & gas
βοΈ alterations for the dress
ππΌ Going as a couple is cheaper: $25 per pair (ok, technically that was for the after-prom party, but letβs count it in π ).
ππΌ I asked the organizers how much the whole prom costβ¦ and I was SHOCKED:
$16,000!!! Thatβs like a million rubles!
ππΌ Decorations and setup (yes, there was even a fountain!) β $3,000
DJ with giant screens and powerful speakers
after-prom party
food, snacks, and sooo much more
ππΌ The good thing is, some of it gets covered by gifts at the after-prom (Iβll tell you about that later π).
ππΌ But honestlyβ¦ itβs worth it!! For reaaalβ¦
Iβd do it again in a heartbeat π
Wellβ¦ maybe after I finally catch up on sleep first π
Try describing what prom would look like for you if you joined an exchange program in the U.S.! Would you go all out with the dress, flowers, and party⦠or keep it simple?
