PROM

PROM
🌹So, what is prom really like? It’s the big graduation dance for juniors and seniors, that’s 11th and 12th grade in the U.S. I’m sure you’ve seen it plenty of times in American movies.
🌹The excitement starts months before prom. You’ve got to find someone to go with, pick out a gorgeous dress, jewelry, shoes, and all that.
🌹You can go with a date or with a group of friends (that’s what we did). There were 18 of us together!
🌹Before prom actually begins, everyone takes tons of pictures—because let’s be honest, everyone looks amazing. Some people also go out to eat first. We even went to another city in a limo.
🌹The prom itself was from 8 to 11 p.m., though most people showed up closer to 9. Our theme was Venice. The decorations were incredible (that’s one thing I love about America—everything is always decorated so well). It really felt like stepping into Italy.
🌹I was surprised by how good the music was. We danced right in the middle of the crowd, close to the DJ.
🌹And if you got tired, there was a chill-out zone with water, snacks, and space to just sit down and relax.
🌹We didn’t have Prom King and Queen at ours.
