Grand Canyon

Travels This is America
🏜 Aaaaaaah, this is unbelievable!!
🏜 Until yesterday, I didn’t believe it was real. I didn’t believe something could be THIS huge and THIS beautiful 😱
🏜 There are several official viewing points. We went to the one closest to Las Vegas — the West Rim. It only took us about 2–3 hours to get there with a few stops along the way.
🏜 How does this viewing area work?
  • You drive to a parking lot not far from the national park.
  • You buy a ticket — the cheapest one is $50 (yeah… we were a little shocked 😅).
  • Then shuttle buses take you to different spots (there’s even a ranch and Native American museums).
🏜 The main highlight of the West Rim is the Skywalk — a half-circle glass bridge stretching out over the canyon. It costs an extra $20, but you’re not allowed to take anything with you (not even your phone). If you want photos, you have to pay extra for them too.
🏜 Honestly, standing on the glass bridge feels super safe (no idea how that works, but even Sylvia did it without a problem). But at the very edge of the canyon — there are no railings at all!
🏜 I love heights, my host parents… not so much. This is a zoomed-in photo taken from a safer distance 😂
🏜 Grand Canyon is probably the #1 must-visit national park in the USA!

Now it’s your turn! Imagine standing on the edge of one of the world’s most breathtaking wonders — would you dare to step on the glass bridge? Share your dream trip and maybe one day you’ll be an exchange student exploring it for real!
