Without These Words, You Can’t Really Talk to Americans

English
Most Americans use a lot of slang and expressions that only make sense to them, so sometimes it’s really hard to catch the real meaning of a new word.
That’s where I come in!
Here are a few examples. You’ve probably heard some of them before:
feeling not too shabby – feeling okay, not bad, decent in general.
Example: I’m feeling not too shabby today, how have you been?
hanging in there – shows how someone feels in a tough situation. It means they’re struggling but still trying to stay positive.
Example: I’m still trying to hang in there after that accident.
craving – a strong desire to do or eat something (usually food).
Example: I’m craving some apple pie.
slacking – being lazy or avoiding work.
Example: He was accused of slacking, which led to him missing all the conferences at work.
picky – being choosy or hard to please (about food, clothes, etc.).
Example: He’s such a picky eater!
a banger – something super cool (a party, event, or situation).
Example: So many people came to the party yesterday, it was a banger.
pretty rad – being really excited or happy about something.
Example: Mary is pretty rad about her upcoming birthday, she’s looking forward to it.
